Use your own sample script
Write a short passage similar to what you will actually publish. Include a product name, a number and a sentence with a natural pause. A polished supplier demo is useful for discovery, but your own wording reveals whether a voice suits your project.
Listen for meaning
Check pronunciation, emphasis and sentence endings. The same words can sound like a question, a warning or a promise depending on delivery. Listen without reading the script: can you follow it comfortably, and does the tone match the subject?
Check what you can change
Find out whether you can adjust pronunciation, pacing or individual sentences without regenerating the entire recording. A tool that sounds good once may still be awkward to revise. Try one deliberate correction before deciding whether the editing process fits your needs.
Understand the plan
Look for usage limits, export options, renewal terms and the rights included in the plan you choose. Voice cloning is a separate consideration: use only voices you are authorised to reproduce, and check the provider’s requirements. Keep permission records for your own project.
Review in context
Place the voiceover next to your actual visuals and music. Check that background sound does not obscure the words. Export a short example and listen on more than one device. Keep a copy of the script and the final approved audio so revisions are manageable.
