THE SUBSCRIPTION CHECK

Look beyond the monthly price.

Compare the commitment, usage limits and renewal terms before subscribing.

An editorial workflow to try with your own material. This guide does not claim results from a Perkufo product test.

Compare the same period

An annual price shown as a monthly equivalent may still be charged in full at the beginning. Write down both the amount due now and the total for the period you expect to use the tool. Use the cost calculator to compare your own quotes on the same basis.

Use the same currency and tax basis

Copy prices from the provider for your location. Include or exclude tax consistently in both figures. Our calculator does not convert currencies, estimate exchange fees or determine taxes. Those can change the amount you actually pay.

Match limits to your workload

Check whether usage is measured in minutes, credits, generations or exports. These units are not interchangeable. Work out what one of your typical projects consumes, whether corrections use more allowance and what happens when you run out.

Separate today’s offer from renewal

Note when an introductory rate ends, what the next payment will be and whether a discount applies to the whole subscription or only the first charge. If a renewal price is unclear, resolve it with the provider before making a commitment.

Keep the decision in writing

Keep the plan name, amount, billing period and cancellation instructions with your purchase records. Review whether the subscription still serves an active project before the next renewal. A lower total is useful only when the service remains useful to you.
